Design preview. DexaFlow is not built yet. We are testing whether it solves a real problem, and we want to hear what is wrong with it. What is real today

How it works

From the floor to a protocol you can email

This is the workflow DexaFlow is designed around. Each step is marked with how real it is today.

From a WhatsApp thread to one protocol

This is how we understand the workflow today, and how DexaFlow is designed to change it. If any of it is wrong for your projects, tell us.

What happens today

  1. 01Photos and voice notes pile up in a WhatsApp thread, mixed with everything else.
  2. 02After the shift you rebuild the punch list in Word or Excel from the thread and from memory.
  3. 03When something faults, there is no timestamped record of what was found and who was told.
  4. 04The client's sign-off waits for the list.

What DexaFlow is designed to do

  1. 01On the floor: a photo, a note of up to 10 seconds, and an optional tag such as +CAB01-K1. Each snag saves on the phone.
  2. 02Every item is timestamped and stored on the device. Nothing needs signal or the plant network.
  3. 03At the hotel: review the items, add or fix the issue text, and export one A4 protocol PDF.
  4. 04You email the PDF. There is no link, portal or login for the client or plant IT to approve.

The six steps

  1. 01

    Capture on the floor

    Preview

Take a photo, hold the button to record up to 10 seconds, and optionally type a hardware tag such as +CAB01-K1. Any one of the three is enough. The phone saves the snag as you go. A second photo or voice note replaces the first on the same snag, and New starts another.

  2. 02

    Keep it on the device

    Preview

Photos, audio and tags are stored in the phone's browser storage. In the preview nothing is sent anywhere. In the product, nothing would need the plant network.

  3. 03

Open the app with no signal

    Designed

A real deployment has to load inside a plant basement. The preview does not do this yet: it needs a connection the first time you open it.

  4. 04

    Review at the hotel

    Preview

A laptop view lists every snag by time and tag, lets you attribute it to a trade, and shows what is open against the client. The preview is filled with a fictional shift so you can judge the layout.

  5. 05

    Turn voice notes into text

    Designed

Hotel Wi-Fi is when the voice note would be transcribed. The preview does not do this. It stores text you type.

  6. 06

    Export and email the PDF

    Preview

One A4 protocol with a document hash, a punch table and a status mark per row. You attach it to your own email. There is no link, portal or login for anyone else to approve.

What the protocol looks like

A specimen from a fictional shift, not a real plant record. Select a tag to see the row. The sheet is the file a project manager receives by email. It is not a link into a plant system. Is anything missing that your client or PM would ask for?

What it deliberately does not do

  • It does not connect to PLCs, fieldbuses or edge devices.
  • It does not read EPLAN or CAD files. Tags are text you type.
  • It does not create web links or a client portal.
  • It is for standard discrete assembly cells, not ATEX or hazardous areas.

Questions you will probably have

Does it work in a plant basement with no signal?
Capture is designed to, and in the preview it saves on the phone without a network once the page has loaded. Opening the app cold with no signal is not built yet.
Who can see my photos?
In the preview, only you, on your own device. Nothing is uploaded.
Will plant IT or the client's NDA be a problem?
That is a question we want to test with you. The design avoids the usual blockers: no public links, no cloud dashboard, no connection to machine control. The deliverable is a PDF you send yourself.
Does it connect to my PLC or my EPLAN project?
No, on purpose. Tags are plain text. DexaFlow documents what you found, not how the machine runs.
What does it cost?
We are testing a flat $250–$500 per project, passed through on the proposal, with no per-seat licence. This is a hypothesis. Tell us if it is wrong.
